We are proud to bring you the Inaugural issue of itravelindonesia. The young team felt that it was time to go beyond just booking your discounted hotels and Indonesian domestic flights. So here we are.

In this Animal issue, we take a close look at my favourite destination in Indonesia, the Seminyak district in Bali. For our funky jilbabbers, Islamic fashion makes waves in London’s fashion week.

For the hordes of Indonesians flying to Singapore to shop and visit the doctors, we say there is more to Singapore than just Takashimaya and Mount Elizabeth.

Indonesians are the happiest people in the world. We look at a recent Norwegian survey that tells us that Indonesians smile more than anyone else on the Planet.

Royal Merdeka Hotel Bandung

In the center of Bandung, near the old town area of Braga, stands Royal Merdeka hotel.
It is close to the train station, and also has easy access to most of the sites in Bandung.
The large Bandung Indah Plaza Mall is two minutes away.
The Jalan Riau Factory Outlets are five minutes away by foot.
The Hotel occupies a small lot facing the City administrative building.

The large park is used on Sundays by picnickers and joggers and is an excellent place to meet the friendly locals.
The Royal Merdeka offers 50 rooms in 4 classes. The rooms are large and modern.
Standard rooms are air-conditioned, have clean toilets and showers, and cable television.
The rooms themselves are comfortable.

The Jalan Merdeka is a major thoroughfare so insist on the quieter rooms when you check in.
The Royal Merdeka has no pool.
The Hotel restaurant offers a wide range of local and European food. Standard but adequate.
